Inside Sales/Technical Support
HPC is a manufacturer’s representative specializing in the sales of engineered products into industrial markets primarily in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
At the basic level the salesperson will be able to identify customer needs as well as promote HPC as a reliable, professional, and expert source to our customers. He/she will be able to give exceptional service to our existing and potential customers, primarily through phone/email contact and offer our customers products and services to fill their needs in the most economical and efficient manner possible.
Desired Position Requirements
-Take customer sales orders over the phone and/or email.
-Quote material per customer requests.
-Enter sales orders with necessary purchase orders and job information.
-Ensure paperwork is accurately entered, priced, and shipped to customer.
-Provide feedback regarding any issues encountered with customer pricing, new product needs, or other issues to outside sales and Inside Sales Manager
-Build rapport with our customers
-Keep up to date on industry news and trends, offering our customers a source of current news and expertise.
-Working knowledge of excel. Proficient keyboarding skills.
-Allocate needed materials for orders with inventory or outside vendor (via purchase order).
-Keep an organized and clear work area for customer and vendor visits.
-A strong mechanical and engineering aptitude
-Knowledge/Experience in one of the following catagories, if not all:
-Industrial Valve Automation/Control Valves
-Electric Heat Trace
